Dumpster Rental FAQs
Got questions about dumpster rentals in Maryland? You’re not alone! At Complete Rolloff Services, we’ve rounded up our most frequently asked questions to help you prepare for a smooth and stress-free rental. Whether you’re tackling a home project or a construction job, here’s what you need to know.
What am I not allowed to put in the dumpster?
You may not place tires, automobile or marine batteries, or any materials that are flammable or explosive in the dumpster. We can accept small appliances and mattresses. Paint cans are acceptable only if lids are sealed or if the contents are emptied and fully dried out.
Do your dumpsters have doors?
Yes! All of our dumpsters come with a door that unlatched for easier loading. Just make sure to close and latch the door when you’re finished.
How long can I keep the dumpster?
Each rental includes 14 days of use. If you need the dumpster longer, we charge just $4 per day beyond that period.
What size dumpster do I need?
It depends on what you’re tossing. For small home cleanouts or garage junk, a 10-yard dumpster is usually enough. Bigger jobs like remodeling, roofing, or demolition often need a 20- to 30-yard dumpster. If you’re not sure, just call us — we’ll help you pick the right size.
Can I put yard waste or construction debris in the dumpster?
Yes! We accept most yard waste (like branches, grass, and leaves) and construction debris such as drywall, lumber, flooring, and roofing materials. Just make sure it’s not mixed with prohibited items like hazardous waste or chemicals.
Do I need a permit to place the dumpster in my driveway or street?
If you’re placing the dumpster in your driveway, no permit is needed. But if it goes on the street or a public right-of-way, some towns may require a permit. We recommend checking with your local municipality, or we can help you find out.
